Feeding The Soul of Your Business
Part 3 of the Client Retention and Acquisition Series
The Heartbeat of Success

Your Sales Team
Like it or not, your sales force is the reason you are still in business. Yes, marketing is important. Yes, your product is critical. Yes, every other aspect of your business has value. But no other aspect of your business matters if your sales team isn’t getting your product or service into the hands of your clients. Your sales team is the soul of your business, the bridge between your offerings and your revenue.
"Your sales team isn’t just part of your business; they are your business’s voice and heart." – Mary Kay Ash
The Company Culture
Is It Supporting Your Sales Team?
Culture is the unseen force driving the success (or failure) of your sales team. Ask yourself:
Are your teams eager to come in each day?
Do they know your mission and values? Can they recall them without referencing the handbook?
Do they have your elevator pitch memorized and convey it naturally?
Does your sales team rave about your company and services outside of work?
Are they personally using your products or services? Why or why not?
How often are you meeting with your sales team, and what is the structure of those meetings?
When you have the answers to these questions, you’ll begin to uncover where the losses are in your sales system. A healthy company culture aligns your team with your mission and equips them with the enthusiasm and tools to share your story authentically.
